About Lake Roxburgh Walkway: Graveyard Gully to Butchers Point
This moderate-length track follows 4.2 km as a track, near Alexandra in Otago.
The easy first section of the Lake Roxburgh Walkway, following a historic gold-miners' bridle path along the Roxburgh Gorge from Graveyard Gully to Butchers Point (about 3 hours return), with views over Lake Roxburgh and old mining relics.
It sits at the easy end and gains roughly 7 m, pitching up to 4 % at its steepest, and takes about 50m to walk.
Dogs are allowed off the lead on this one.
