About Taurewa Loop Track
Near Taupahi in Manawatū-Whanganui, Taurewa Loop Track runs 3.4 km as a loop.
A bush loop on the edge of Tongariro Forest Conservation Area that follows old milling trails through regenerating native forest with a wide variety of birdlife. DOC lists the full track at about 17 km.
It sits at the easy end and gains roughly 33 m, pitching up to 13 % at its steepest, and takes about 44m to walk.
