Mt Isobel Track: Jollies Pass Road Access is a track of 2.7 km, near Hanmer in Canterbury.
The Jollies Pass Road approach onto the Mt Isobel track network above Hanmer Springs, climbing from the road through forest and subalpine tussock toward the summit of Mt Isobel (1324 m) with wide open views over the Hanmer Basin. It is one of several access routes to the peak (Clarence Valley Road is the most popular).
Graded hard, it climbs about 485 m overall, pitching up to 83 % at its steepest, and takes about 1h 21m to walk.
Dogs are allowed off the lead on this one.
