About this campsite
This is a basic campsite in the Hawke's Bay area. Vehicle access is closed, but you can still enter on foot or bike.

Getting there
5 km of gravel road. Take SH 5 (Napier-Taupo Rd) and turn into Waitara Rd, 1.8 km south of the Mohaka River bridge. Follow Waitara Rd for 13 km then turn into Aurora Rd and travel 2 km to Everetts Ford. Park your car at Everetts ford as there is no vehicle access past this point. From here, Everetts campsite is 1.5 km walk or bike ride along the forestry road. For the more adventurous you could raft/kayak to the campsite.

Cyclone Gabrielle caused damage to this area. No works have occurred to restore toilets and camping sites. Other campsites available in Hawke’s Bay include Waikare River Mouth, Glenfalls (self-contained only), Kuripapango and Mangaturutu. Boil water before drinking Fires not permitted at any time
