Every fix, photo and find makes this better for the next dog

How it works

Send it in twenty seconds from any page with the Spot something off? button, or right here. We check every single one against the source: the council, DOC, the operator, the sign on the door. A report never flips a verdict by itself, the source decides. When it checks out, it is accepted: you get the XP, the byline, and a spot on the Contributors leaderboard. XP is paid at acceptance, never at submission, so the board stays proof, not volume. One thing to know: the XP and the byline need you signed in when you send it. Signed out, your report still reaches us and still helps, it just cannot carry your name.

Photos and reviews count too: a photo that goes live on a walk page earns 10 XP, and a review earns 15 XP. Reviews rank on the Contributors board once they sit on a walk you have proven.

One rule for photos: your dog has to be in it. Not the view, not the sign, not the carpark. A photo with a dog in it is what proves you were there, it is what the Photos board counts, and it is the only kind we put on a walk page. Everything else we send back.

The contributor ladder

Accepted contributions add up to a standing title on your profile, and it is earned, never bought: Scout at your first accepted contribution, Tracker at 10, Pathmaker at 30, and Trail Keeper at 75. There is no cap: every accepted contribution pays, every time. If you want to make finding walks your thing, we will take as many good ones as you can send.

Why the checking is strict

Dog access lives and dies on trust: one wrong dogs-allowed verdict can put a dog in a bird sanctuary. So community reports set off a re-check, and only the authority that writes the rule can change what a page says. That is also why accepted contributions are worth ranking: every one was checked by a person against the source.
