About Chatterton River Track
This moderate-length walk follows 3.4 km, near Hanmer in Canterbury.
A tramping track in Hanmer Forest Park, Canterbury, that follows the Chatterton River and links to the old Jacks Pass bridle/stock route, with views over the Hanmer Basin. Roughly 2.5 hours return.
Expect hard going, with around 381 m of climb, pitching up to 90 % at its steepest, and takes about 1h 18m to walk.
Dogs are welcome here.
