About Hongi Hika Walk

This short track follows 0.9 km as a track, near Kerikeri in Northland.

A short, easy walk through regenerating native forest and mature gum trees from Hone Heke Road up to the historic Kororipo Pa above the Kerikeri River, within Kororipo Heritage Park.

Graded easy, it climbs about 6 m overall, pitching up to 18 % at its steepest, and takes about 10m to walk.

Dogs are welcome here on the lead. DOC’s own wording: “Dogs on a leash only.”.
