About Nydia Track
Nydia Track covers 23.3 km, near Pelorus Sound in Marlborough.
Crosses from Kaiuma Bay to Duncan Bay through Nydia Bay in the Marlborough Sounds, over two saddles with long stretches of coastal forest. With a DOC permit dogs can walk the track and stay at Nydia Campsite, but not at Nydia Lodge, and DOC requires dogs on a lead across the private land sections either side of Nydia Bay.
It sits at the expert end and gains roughly 735 m, and takes about 5 hr 53 min to walk.
