The rule-setter’s own wording: “Maungakiekie's rule is "Under control ON leash" with no dogs in the playground area. The neighbouring Cornwall Park is run separately by the Cornwall Park Trust and requires a lead everywhere, including Pūriri Drive, the sports grounds, parkland and farmland, and closes its restricted areas to dogs during lambing and calving from 17 July to 10 September”.
