Near Thames in Waikato, Tapu Summit to Crosbies Hut Track runs 9.0 km as a point-to-point.
A rolling ridge tramping track in the Kauaeranga area of Coromandel Forest Park, from the summit of Tapu-Coroglen Road to Crosbies Hut. It is the least strenuous route to the hut, with little climbing and no stream crossings, though the going can be very muddy.
Expect hard going, with around 289 m of climb, pitching up to 39 % at its steepest, and takes about 2h 17m to walk.
Dogs are allowed here, on the lead.
