Christchurch City Council’s own wording: “Dogs must be on a leash along the head to head walkway that passes through Corsair Bay and Cass Bay. On both beaches and their grassed areas, dogs are prohibited during summer (1 November to 31 March between 9am-7pm), except for passing through on a short leash; outside those times dogs are permitted under effective control. On Pony Point, dogs must be on a leash on the lower slopes and track but are allowed under effective control on the open grassed hilltop”. Evidence: a hand-checked correction against the authority.
