About Jasper Creek Walk

A 10-minute (250 m) loop starting at Hotoritori Campsite in the Kauaeranga Valley, Coromandel Forest Park. It passes through regenerating totara, rimu, towai and kahikatea with several varieties of fungi and ground orchids.
Graded easy, it climbs about 9 m overall, pitching up to 7 % at its steepest, and takes about 6m to walk.
Dogs are welcome here on the lead. DOC’s own wording: “Dogs on a leash are permitted on most walking tracks but not the Kauaeranga Kauri Trail, the Pinnacles Track or at Pinnacles Hut.”.
