Ashburton · Canterbury · Loop
This walk comes from licensed public walk data and is being progressively confirmed against the authorities. Signs on the day always win. Ashburton District Council’s own wording: “Ashburton District Council rules the Lake Camp reserve area a Prohibited Dog Area: "Dogs are prohibited (except for Disability Assist Dogs)." About 9 km round the loop the track runs along the reserve's eastern boundary for roughly 370 m, with the Lake Camp reserve and its shoreline on the lake side of the track, so stay on the formed track through that stretch and keep your dog out of the reserve”.
