- Outdoor areas means the courtyard, the garden bar or the footpath tables, and not indoors.

“The outside tick here is a pack member's report, not the cafe's own word, and it is worth saying so plainly. Dana and Ralph sat outside with their dog in August 2026 and found water, treats, shade and a menu for the dog. We checked the cafe's own site the same day, thelilypad.co.nz, including the full food and drinks menus, and it says nothing about dogs anywhere, so there is no operator statement to lean on and nothing published by the venue that confirms a dog menu. Their own contact page gives the address as 1234 Kaipaki Road, which is a rural spot a few kilometres southwest of Cambridge rather than in the township, and lists hours of Tue to Fri 9am to 3pm and Sat to Sun 8.30am to 3pm. Take the outside tables as the safe assumption and ask inside before you follow a dog through the door.”
