The walk runs through Kaka Point Scenic Reserve, and Clutha's bylaw separately requires a leash within 20 metres of wildlife. The village beach below is a different story again: dogs are prohibited between the no dog signs from the rocks at the northern end to the public toilets by the surf club”.
