About Ross Goldfield Water Race Walkway
Ross Goldfield Water Race Walkway is a short walk of 1.1 km, near Ross in West Coast.
Follows the old gold-era water race through regenerating bush above the Ross goldfields, past relics of the 1860s workings. It is DOC land where dogs need a DOC permit arranged before the walk, so ask the nearest DOC office first.
It sits at the easy end and gains roughly 74 m, and takes about 20 min to walk.
