About Stour Track
Near Tinwald in Canterbury, Stour Track runs 14.1 km.
An easy tramping track in Hakatere Conservation Park that follows the Stour River from Lake Emily down to the Ashburton Gorge Road. It is mostly downhill from the lake, making for a straightforward walk of about 14 km.
Graded hard, it climbs about 212 m overall, pitching up to 8 % at its steepest, and takes about 3h 10m to walk.
Dogs are welcome here.
