Historic Haast to Paringa Cattle Track covers 32.6 km, near Haast in West Coast, walked as a point-to-point.
The old droving route between the Haast and Paringa valleys, a multi-night South Westland tramp past Blowfly, Coppermine Creek and Maori Saddle huts. DOC requires a dog permit for the whole area and codes it as the hunting-dog permit, so this is not a walk to turn up to with a pet dog.
Graded expert, it climbs about 659 m overall, and takes about 7 hr 37 min to walk.
