About Kopuwai Track to Sisters Track
This long track follows 7.7 km as a point-to-point, near Alexandra in Otago.
An exposed alpine track along the tussock ridgelines of the Old Man Range (Kopuwai) in Central Otago, connecting the Kopuwai 4WD Road with the Sisters Track. It crosses the Fraser River and has wide views to the Old Woman Range, The Remarkables and the Alexandra basin; the area is snowbound and extremely cold in winter.
Graded moderate, it climbs about 166 m overall, pitching up to 33 % at its steepest, and takes about 1h 48m to walk.
